It is a small town near Figueres, Spain

Roses is on the coast so it will likely be cooler and possibly rainier than Figueres. The average temperature in Roses during May is in the 60s during the day and 50s during the night, so bring a jacket. Figueres should be a little warmer and potentially in the 70s during the day. We’ll have a tent in case of rain.

Figueres is the home of Salvador Dali. There is a Dali museum in Figueres. Roses is a beach town with a mix of Spanish and French tourists. So drink some Pastis and sit on the beach. There are also Go Karts. Not the weak ass American kind either. You can go fast. We will also add some Google Maps sections in the Things to Do tab.

Fly into Barcelona. Then either take a train to Figueres and then a taxi to Roses or rent a car from the Barcelona airport. It’s only a 2 hour drive from the airport, but also the train is an easy 1 hour ride followed by a 30 minute taxi to Roses.

The wedding day is adults only except family children. If you bring your kids, you will need to find a sitter. Reach out to Stephen if you need assistance.

4 AM sharp. There will be an early and a late bus plus taxis are easy to find and will take you speedily to the hotel.

No, you should probably know French, but Spanish will do.

It’s just a rhythm from the heart.

Spain is near and dear to both of our hearts. Mercedes loves the beach and Stephen loves Mercedes, and also beaches. Barcelona is a beach town if you have not been. Mercedes family has been scattered to the wind and the point of being in Spain is to bring us all together. The families that were separated will reunite in Spain for a weekend of bailando y felicidad.

Barcelona is generally 6 hours ahead of NYC time. Yes it is NYC time. Thank you.
